Our Story
Julia and Sharon journey to co-founding Syntheabio began in their freshman year at Stanford, where fate brought them together as roommates. Julia, with her keen interest in biology, and Sharon, a computer science enthusiast, found common ground in their shared passion for innovation and technology. Their late-night discussions often revolved around how technology could revolutionize healthcare, fostering a deep-seated desire to make a tangible impact.

After graduation, their paths diverged – Julia joined United Health while Sharon went to work for Google. However, their shared vision and ambition remained a strong bond. Years later, they reconnected, each bringing a wealth of experience from their respective fields. Julia, with her insights into healthcare management, and Sharon, with her software development expertise, realized that together they could turn their college dream into reality. Thus, Syntheabio was born, a testament to their enduring friendship, complementary skills, and a shared commitment to enhancing patient care through technological innovation.
